Training and Development Grundfos Denmark

Our results

Our Global Training Warehouse offered 275 training opportunities in 2017. The Global Learning and Development function facilitated about 20 commercial, technical and leadership, and generic courses related to project management and trainer skills. These took place at the Poul Due Jensen Academy, regional venues and via online platforms.

Some of the highlights:

  • Leadership training: 250 people, both first-line managers and managers of managers, participated in face-to-face courses in Denmark and in the regions.
  • 100 sales and technical trainers participated in basic training to improve their skills.
  • Sales Backbone project: An e-learning programme with 55 modules that supported over 3,000 employees globally.
  • Supporting the OneHR journey for 60 managers in the global HR community by addressing the needs of virtual leaders and their team members.

In Denmark, about 15,800 hours were spent on labour training programmes; 46 people qualified as skilled workers through apprentice programmes and 12 unskilled employees progressed to a skilled level. As part of a refugee integration initiative, eight refugees were recruited into a two-year training programme focused on integration and equipping them for a future on the Danish job market.

Power Up Grundfos

In practice: Power Up Grundfos

Power Up Grundfos (P-U-G) is a new business-driven talent development programme that we launched this year. The aim of the programme is to boost our employees' competencies and skills, by identifying and developing employees with high potential.

Kicking off with the Operations Department, 27 employees from around the world met in Denmark for the first leg of the global programme. Participants were able to learn from each other and meet like-minded and dedicated professionals. As part of the programme, they also worked with people from different cultural backgrounds and expanded their horizons.

“There are huge benefits for both my personal and professional growth in learning to work in a very dynamic and multicultural environment. It has helped my time management and prioritisation,” says Adamovic, Quality Manager at Grundfos Serbia.
