New Regional Managing Director of Grundfos Asia Pacific Region

To support our global growth ambitions and move even closer to customers, Grundfos recently announced a new regional setup, which includes change in management and splitting up the EMEA region in to two regions.

Elaborating on this change, Poul Due Jensen, Group Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Service, Grundfos said, “The world is in constant change and we want to create an even stronger and focused approach on how we go-to-market. As part of the Must Win Battles in our Strategy 2020 we continuously strive to reduce complexity and increase our customer focus. Further, we will also focus on developing the organization and creating growth opportunities for our business leaders”.

“As part of our journey, we have decided to split the EMEA sales region into two new regions. Regional Managing Director Kim Jensen and his teams have over the years done a fantastic job with many great achievements and succeeded in building a strong sales approach with many capabilities in EMEA. We will capitalize on those efforts to continue the solid growth” he added.

Splitting EMEA Sales into two regions

As of 1st of January 2018 two new regions will be established that are built on the current EMEA organizational setup. This means that the area structure continues unchanged as we know it today, but will be split into:

WEREG – Western Europe Region

EEWAA – East Europe, Western Asia and Africa

This restructuring has led to changes in leadership in APREG which will be effective from 1st of January 2018. The current Regional Managing Director of APREG, Okay Barutcu will take charge of the newly formed EEWAA and will relocate to the regional HQ in Dubai, UAE. Kim Jensen will in turn become the Regional Managing Director of APREG and relocate to Regional HQ in Singapore.

Okay Barutcu

Okay Barutcu has been a key figure in shaping Grundfos APREG through the years. He has held a number of senior management positions within Grundfos over the last 10 years. Prior to his Asia Pacific role, Okay served as the General Manager in Turkey, where he was responsible for all Grundfos sales, marketing and production activities in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Kim Jensen

Kim Jensen is no stranger to Grundfos as he has been with the company for more than 25 years now. He comes to APREG after his stint as the Group Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets since 2015, where he oversaw 2,800 employees in areas of sales, marketing and service.
